The Problem

Climate change is the biggest issue that the world faces at this time. The fight to preserve the life of the place we call home has been continuing for a very long time. The issue lies in the lack of change in society. The resistance to change habits and turn to more eco-friendly resources stems from humans' urge for easy access and money-making products. Plastic is easy to access and something like the fossil fuel industry is one of the biggest money-making machines of the century. Together, they hurt our planet in more ways than imaginable. Whether it be their carbon emissions or the way they damage our oceans, the effects they have on our planet are nothing but negative.

The Solution

The most important factor in solving the issue of climate change is to change human habits. By cutting back on carbon emissions, the chances of the planet surviving this crisis will increase significantly. Something as simple as reducing meat intake in one's diet can have drastic effects. The more people advocate for eco-friendly habits, the more likely it is for people to follow this suggestion and push others to do the same. If everyone on the planet were to make just one eco-friendly change in their lives, that would be 8 billion changes made in total. Every effort counts, no matter how little it may seem.

Hi! I am a 17-year-old environmental activist who tries her best to educate others about the severity of the climate crisis. I know how important it is to take this issue seriously because I know that if change doesn't happen soon, my generation will be the one to suffer the consequences. I want to teach others that their habits have a huge impact on the world, whether it be good or bad. Changing those bad habits is the only way to save the place we all call home.
