Competitor Analysis
Here you will find my competitor analysis which includes Modern Mixing's biggest competitor, how Modern Mixing can work as an additive with their product, but also how we differ in goals and construction of our palette when comparing the two.

Inspiration
My inspiration for this project came to me when working on a piece for AP art. I wanted to make this pinky red and I just could not find the right color. After lots of trial and error, I finally mixed the color I wanted. But then I ran out of it and I hadn't remembered what colors and how much I had used of each to achieve the color I wanted. I thought there must be a better way to do this. Then Modern Mixing was born.
Theme: Re-imagine
My idea Modern Mixing reimagines the idea of a traditional painter’s palette. I will design an insert for the most commonly used palette, the Masterson Sta-Wet Palette. My insert will have a series of various circular sized measurements. These measurements consist of circular drawings on the pallet that will allow the artist to accurately measure, mix, and record their exact process of mixing a specific color.
Viability
Modern Mixing is a feasible approach to the problems that accompany mixing various paint colors. In particular, the problem that arises of not being able to mix the same color on multiple occasions. My idea has been validated through research, which can be seen in the attached research outline found below
