To reimagine is to rethink something or reinterpret something in a creative way. We used the idea of reimagining to enhance how people learn various skills. Simple Thought utilizes augmented reality to take you step by step through learning a task, such as tying a shoe. With the use of AR, we have reimagined learning to be fast and more effective.
Definition of Problem
Simple Thought helps to provide the resources for anybody to learn anything out there, especially things that cannot be explained so easily on paper. There are many people out there that don't know how to obtain the necessary resources that are needed to learn a specific subject and Simple Thought helps to make these items more accessible to the public.
Simple Thought will attract consumers with its AR appeal and promise to effectively learn and keep concepts. Due to its notable difference on the application market, every app-store traffic will stop to check it out where we pull them in for the download with not just a experience in augmented reality but a learning experience users can truly benefit from.
The process of making the app is doable, our team has discovered Unity hand-tracking software to easily integrate human movement and interaction with the app's instructions. Simple Thought without a doubt is capable of working successfully, in development, in practice, and in delivering concepts to those who want it.
Creativity & Innovation
Simple Thought is creative in the fact that it allows pretty much anyone to learn something new by utilizing state-of-the-art AR software. The idea becomes modular when you take into account the many possible topics that can be added at any time, so that you can further teach the user. It shows you how to accomplish something, as well as allow you to copy those steps in real time via the AR feature.
Simple Thought centralizes around the simplification and demonstration of concepts. Platforms like Wiki-How and YouTube currently dominate the technology-assisted instruction industry and you can't forget the crafty "life-hacks" from the newly released app, TikTok. Simple Thought however, takes a step away from the old fashioned "watch and learn" and applies a "learn as you do" approach. Displaying common but hard to grasp concepts in augmented reality adds a hand-eye coordination memory, something close to impossible to achieve with a (2D) video alone.
Included in our initial launch, Simple Thought’s playful demo teaches users how to layer a sandwich just scraping its vast AR capabilities.
