Project Idea
Creativity and Innovation
Recall is certainly creative and innovative. In the field of assisting memory-deficiency, there is nothing like Recall. Using the simple medium of glasses to assist memory-deficiency is something that is unique and innovative.
Theme
Recall breaks boundaries in a variety of ways. People who suffer from memory-deficiency illnesses will be able to gain a product that has never before been mass implemented in their world. Recall is boundary breaking because people with these diseases will be able to enjoy life in a new way that stops them from being inhibited by their illness. It tears down all of the problems caused by memory-deficiency, and assists these people with their issues in their day-to-day activities.
Viability
Recall is viable to be produced and employed in the real world. People suffer all over the world from memory-deficiency diseases, and this product will be able to legitimately assist them. The individual components of Recall are viable for production. Firstly, the microphone on the glasses, which collects audio data and sends it to the AI, is easily accessible. An AI that indexes information through keywords, which it learns from a database, is challenging, but possible, as seen with many other speech recognition AIs. The visual component of facial tracking is something that can be implemented into the project through pre-existing facial recognition technology. Further features such as location tracking can be easily implemented using GPS systems. The app is easily developable, and is not complex.
Competitor Analysis
Recall incorporates concepts other main competitors have attempted to implement, however the scope of Recall is one that is unique. The Memory Glasses Project, developed by graduate students, had a similar problem they strived to solve. Yet, their product was one that was in a minuscule scale compared to Recall. For example, while their glasses assist the user with reminders, their product does not have implement an app, location tracking, AI indexing, and facial recognition. Simply put, this similar product does a tiny part of what we envision for Recall. Another project, "Know You Again", focuses more on facial recognition, while our project has that feature and more. There are no competitors on the market currently, as these projects have not been produced and introduced to consumers. Our ultimate goal is to make Recall a culmination of what these projects tried to achieve, and more. A document is attached with links to the different competitors.
