The Problem
The current problem is that there is too much carbon dioxide in the oceans. This abundance of carbon dioxide comes from its recent abundance in the atmosphere, causing the acidity of the water to increase and destroys the aquatic ecosystems that currently exist. This can result in a lack of food, destruction of coral reefs, and acid rain; all of these affect the land as much as they affect the ocean. To stop this from happening, we have to find a way to decrease the amount of carbon dioxide in the ocean.
